Crown Lane Music Studio Technology Workshop

Our Year 12 BTEC Music Technology students are currently preparing for one of the most ambitious elements of their course: producing a professional-standard multi-track recording of an existing popular song. This demanding project requires students to take on every stage of the process, from planning and project management through to recording, engineering and mastering. To support their preparation, students visited Crown Lane Studio earlier this term for a specialist recording workshop led by John Merriman and the studio team. The experience gave students a valuable insight into professional studio practice, and they returned inspired and full of new ideas for their own projects.
