Year 10 Visit Wimbledon Synagogue

Year 10 pupils recently visited Wimbledon Synagogue as part of their Religious Studies work, where they were warmly welcomed and given a fascinating insight into Jewish life and worship. Pupils learned about the key features of the synagogue and their significance, helping to bring their classroom learning to life.

A particular highlight was being shown a valuable Torah scroll with a remarkable history, having been hidden during the First World War. This was a powerful moment for pupils and helped them appreciate the importance of the Torah within Judaism and the care taken to protect it.
