Year 10 Bioengineering Workshop at Imperial College, London
Year 10 pupils visited Imperial College for a special workshop promoting and encouraging bioengineering interest for Year 10s. Attended by pupils from four other schools, the workshop included fascinating lectures on fungal soil interactions and brain imaging, and practical workshops on hydrogels creation and spine injury prevention. The course opened pupils’ eyes to the many facets of bioengineering, particularly relating to health care and medicine. It was a truly hands-on experience!
