Rowers Make Waves on the National Stage
Following their GCSEs, two of our talented rowers, Bertie D and Toby G in Year 11, have enjoyed an outstanding start to the summer racing season, combining hard work in training with an impressive series of results.
The boys were invited to attend GB trials, where they finished as the sixth fastest pair in the country, a remarkable achievement against the nation's top young rowing talent. The following week, they competed at the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta, racing against elite U19 crews from around the world. Their success has continued closer to home, with the boys helping their quad crew to victory at Kingston Regatta and also securing a silver medal in the double. This weekend, they will represent Barn Elms Boat Club at the British Rowing Championships in Nottingham, competing in three categories against some of the largest and most successful clubs in the country.
We are incredibly proud of their dedication, ambition and achievements, and we wish them every success for the Championships.
