Pop Art in Progress!

Year 8 have been exploring the vibrant world of Pop Art, taking inspiration from the work of Roy Lichtenstein and his comic-style portraits. As part of the project, pupils first developed their understanding of facial proportions before practising individual features and combining them to create their own Pop Art-inspired self-portraits.

They have also explored key Pop Art techniques, including onomatopoeic words and Ben-Day dots, to add bold colour and character to their work. Although the portraits are not yet complete, pupils have made excellent progress, and their creativity is already shining through. We look forward to sharing the finished pieces soon!
