Memorable Trip to Valencia
At the end of September, our pupils spent four unforgettable days in Valencia, immersing themselves in Spanish culture, language and cuisine.
The trip included visits to Valencia Beach, the historic city centre, La Lonja de la Seda, the City of Arts and Sciences, the Oceanogràfic and Mestalla Stadium. Pupils also explored Valencia Cathedral, the Central Market, Plaza de la Virgen and El Carmen, before climbing El Miguelete for spectacular views across the city.
A particular highlight was a Spanish cookery workshop, where pupils learnt how to prepare a traditional Valencian paella before enjoying it together.
Throughout the visit, pupils embraced every opportunity to practise their Spanish and were a credit to Saint Cecilia's. Thank you to Mr Alex Bishop, Mr Emmanuel Mensah and Ms Mairead Gibbons for helping to make the trip such a success.
