Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge
Last week, Year 10 pupils took part in the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge, a charity we have proudly worked with for over 15 years. The programme this charity runs offers invaluable public speaking training to young people.
Throughout the day, pupils were expertly coached on structuring speeches, expressing their ideas effectively and delivering them with impact. The day culminated in all pupils performing their speeches, after which two speakers from each group were selected to progress to the semi-final.
From the 90 Year 10 pupils who took part, the following have been chosen to go through to the semi-final, which will take place in Sixth Form assembly on Thursday 5th February: Erin D, Zebedee E, Angel G, Joseph G, Skye H-S, Eliora K and Josiah O. Also, the following pupils were awarded Highly Commended certificates for their impressive performances: Rosa FC, Georgina G, Alex H, Eloise M-C, Vedant P and Nabaa S.
