GCSE and A Level Drama Trip: ‘Stranger Things’

GCSE and A Level Drama pupils and students experienced the incredible production of ‘Stranger Things: The First Shadow.’ Even for those who are not fans of the TV show, the theatrical magic and special effects in this live production were absolutely brilliant, placing us firmly in the world of the ‘Upside Down.’

From cinematic projections and body doubles, to sets transforming into gruesome designs and perfectly timed jump scares, there was plenty for our pupils and students to discuss and write about in their written papers.

We all kept saying, “How did they do that?!” It was a fantastic evening, with a personal highlight being Imad M in Year 9 turning to us at the end to apologise for how much he had been screaming, quickly followed by, “I absolutely loved it, Miss!” How lucky are we to live in a city where we can experience such breath-taking theatre.
