Champions in the Rain: A Remarkable Roundnet Day!

14 teams (pairs) competed in the annual London Schools Roundnet competition at Lycée Français in Raynes Park.

The day began with a clinic led by British Roundnet players, followed by group stages and knockout rounds, with even a few staff matches at lunchtime. Despite heavy rain, and even thunder and lightning during the finals, the atmosphere remained fantastic throughout.

Teams competed across four divisions: Year 7/8 girls, Year 7/8 boys, Year 9/10 girls and Year 9/10 boys. We are delighted to report that Saint Cecilia’s were overall winners, taking first place in every division. Our results were outstanding:

Year 7/8 girls: 1st, 2nd, 4th

Year 7/8 boys: 1st, 3rd, 4th

Year 9/10 girls: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th

Year 9/10 boys: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th

A huge well done to all involved! These results reflect the dedication shown at weekly clubs and lunchtime training.

Special congratulations to Louisa B, Bayleigh G, Joshua G, Arthur J, Olivia M, Micah R, Edward S and Aliyah X who were overall winners.
