Spring term An introduction to Shakespeare – studying extracts from a selection of plays.

Grammar Focus Elements of a sentence – simple sentences, compound sentences, complex sentences, listing, bracketing and commas.

Summer term Introduction to poetry. Students write their own story, using their chosen genre or a variety of genres.
